FAQ
Honest answers to common questions
The questions homeowners ask again and again — answered straight. If yours isn't here, ask us: we give the same honest answer on the phone.
Getting started
How does the quote process work?
It starts with a conversation — over the phone, by email or through the request form. We ask what you're planning, when, and where the property is. From there we look at the space and work up a clear scope and a project quote documented on paper, so you know exactly what's included before anything begins.
What size projects do you take on?
From a single well-made room to a full-home renovation. The determining factor isn't the size of the job — it's whether the scope, expectations and communication are set up to succeed.
Do you work in my area?
We're based in Kelowna and work across the Okanagan Valley. If your property is outside that range and a fit for us, we'll tell you. If it isn't, we'll say so honestly and point you the right way.
The project
Can we live at home during the renovation?
It depends on the scope. Kitchens, bathrooms and partial-home work are routinely planned around an occupied home, with dust control, access and sequencing considered up front. Whole-home projects may be built differently — we map this out during planning so there are no surprises.
Who is on site, and who do we talk to?
Every project has one accountable point of contact on our team. You know what is happening next, who owns it, and how to reach the person responsible at any stage.
What happens if we find surprises mid-project?
Hidden conditions are part of renovation. When they surface, we flag them clearly and quickly, explain the options and give you pricing to decide — we don't quietly absorb surprises into a vague bill, and we don't change scope without telling you.
Design & materials
Do you provide design, or do we bring our own?
Both. We work from the way you actually live — layout, storage and finishes resolved together. If you have a designer or architect, we coordinate closely with them; if not, we guide the selections so cabinetry, tile, counters and lighting pull in one direction.
What materials do you use?
Quality materials chosen for the specific space, use and climate — built to last decades, not to a budget checkbox. Material selections are made with you during the design & scope stage, with pricing settled before construction.
